Shopify experts for Ukraine brands

Ukrainian shoppers are fast adopters of digital services. Mobile banking through monobank and PrivatBank is everyday, Apple Pay and Google Pay are standard, and Nova Poshta has built one of Europe’s most efficient parcel networks. Rozetka and Prom.ua lead marketplace sales, but Ukrainian fashion, cosmetics and homeware brands have also built loyal audiences through their own sites and Instagram, at home and among Ukrainians abroad.

BOOST STAR Experts builds Shopify stores for Ukrainian brands and supports them in selling internationally. We connect Ukrainian payment gateways, set up Nova Poshta and Ukrposhta delivery, write content in Ukrainian and English and configure shipping to the EU, UK and North America. Because Shopify is hosted in the cloud, the store keeps running when local conditions disrupt offices, and our remote team keeps work moving.

Selling online in Ukraine: what your store needs

Cards, wallets and instalments

Ukrainians pay mostly by card, often through Apple Pay or Google Pay on their phones. Gateways such as LiqPay and WayForPay serve local stores, and instalment schemes from PrivatBank and monobank are popular for electronics and furniture. Shopify Payments is not available in Ukraine, so we choose a gateway that supports your currency and business setup.

VAT, FOP status and fiscal receipts

The standard VAT rate is 20%, though many smaller sellers trade as sole entrepreneurs (FOP) under the simplified tax system. Online sales generally require fiscal receipts issued through a registered cash register or software solution (PRRO). The rules change from time to time, so we build to what your accountant specifies.

Nova Poshta and cash on delivery

Nova Poshta dominates delivery, with branches and parcel lockers across the country and next-day service between many cities. Ukrposhta and Meest are cheaper alternatives. Cash on delivery through the carrier remains common, so we set it up carefully, with order confirmation steps to reduce parcels that are never collected.

Selling to the diaspora and the EU

Millions of Ukrainians now live in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and other countries, and many still buy from Ukrainian brands. International customers also seek out Ukrainian design. Shopify Markets with euro, złoty or dollar pricing and international carriers lets a brand serve both audiences from one store.

Frequently asked questions

Which payment gateway should a Ukrainian Shopify store use?

Shopify Payments is not available in Ukraine, so stores use local gateways such as LiqPay or WayForPay, or an international provider if the brand has a company abroad. Integration options differ, so we check what works reliably with Shopify for your setup before building checkout around it.

Can you integrate Nova Poshta with Shopify?

Yes. Apps and integrations let customers choose a Nova Poshta branch or parcel locker at checkout, calculate delivery costs and create shipping labels from Shopify. We also set up tracking notifications in Ukrainian, so customers know when their parcel is ready to collect.

Can our Ukrainian brand sell to customers in Europe?

Yes. We set up Shopify Markets with euro and other currencies, shipping options through international carriers or Nova Post’s European network, and clear information about duties and delivery times. Many brands also translate key pages into English, Polish or German for local buyers.

Should the store be in Ukrainian, English or both?

For customers in Ukraine, Ukrainian is the expected language and is required for consumer information. If you sell abroad, adding English is the most useful second language, and some brands add Polish or German. We build each language with its own URLs for search.

How do you keep projects moving during disruptions?

We keep detailed written plans and handovers, so if power or connection problems interrupt your day, nothing is lost. Your store runs on Shopify’s cloud infrastructure, unaffected by local outages, and we schedule calls flexibly within the overlap between our working hours.
