Shopify agency for brands selling in Mexico
Shopify stores for Mexican brands and for brands entering Mexico: cash and instalment payments, CFDI invoices, reliable delivery and Spanish content that sells.
Shopify experts for Mexico brands
Mexico is Latin America’s second-largest eCommerce market and one of its fastest growing. Millions of shoppers buy on their phones, but many still prefer paying in cash at a convenience store or spreading the cost over interest-free instalments. Mercado Libre and Amazon set expectations for delivery speed, and events such as Hot Sale and El Buen Fin drive huge spikes in demand. Brands that handle payments, invoicing and shipping the Mexican way win loyal customers.
BOOST STAR Experts builds and grows Shopify stores for Mexican brands and for foreign brands launching in Mexico. We set up gateways that support OXXO and card instalments, connect CFDI invoicing apps, integrate Estafeta, DHL or a multi-carrier platform, and write Spanish product content for Mexican search terms. Then we focus on SEO, Meta and Google campaigns and conversion work timed around the big sales events.
Selling online in Mexico: what your store needs
Cash, cards and meses sin intereses
A large share of Mexicans pay cash, so OXXO Pay vouchers, paid at thousands of convenience stores, remain important. Card buyers expect meses sin intereses, interest-free monthly instalments. Mercado Pago, Stripe, Conekta and Openpay all operate in Mexico, and SPEI bank transfers and PayPal round out the options.
IVA, CFDI and consumer law
Most goods carry 16% IVA, shown in the price. Business buyers, and many consumers, ask for a CFDI electronic invoice (factura) issued with their RFC tax ID, so an invoicing app connected to Shopify saves hours. Stores need an aviso de privacidad under federal data protection law, and PROFECO enforces consumer rights.
Delivery across a big country
Estafeta, DHL, FedEx and Paquetexpress handle national parcels, while 99minutos and similar couriers offer same-day delivery in major cities. Platforms such as Envia.com and Skydropx compare rates across carriers. Remote postcodes cost more and take longer, so showing delivery estimates and free-shipping thresholds is essential.
Marketplaces, social and sales events
Mercado Libre is the reference point for prices and reviews, with Amazon, Liverpool and Coppel close behind. Many shoppers discover brands on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and ask questions on WhatsApp before buying. Hot Sale in late spring and El Buen Fin in November are the biggest online sales periods of the year.

Frequently asked questions
Can customers pay cash at OXXO on a Shopify store?
Yes. Gateways such as Stripe, Conekta and Mercado Pago generate an OXXO voucher at checkout. The customer pays at the store counter, the payment is confirmed automatically and the order moves to fulfilment. We set reminders for unpaid vouchers so fewer orders expire before the money arrives.
How do we issue CFDI invoices for Shopify orders?
We connect a Mexican invoicing app that lets customers request a factura with their RFC and tax details after purchase. The app stamps the CFDI through an authorised provider and emails the XML and PDF. Your accountant should confirm the tax settings, which we then configure in Shopify.
Can you set up meses sin intereses?
Yes, through a gateway that supports instalments for Mexican cards, such as Mercado Pago, Conekta or Openpay. We choose which terms to offer, for example three, six or twelve months, and show the monthly amount on product pages, which helps higher-priced items convert.
Working from India means a big time difference. How does that work?
Honestly, overlap is small, so we plan around it. Calls happen early in your morning, our evening, and every day ends with a written update. Because we work while you sleep, changes you request in the afternoon are often ready for review the next morning.
Should we sell on Mercado Libre as well as our own store?
Often yes, because Mercado Libre brings reach that new brands struggle to buy. We connect it to Shopify so stock and orders stay in sync, and build your own store as the place for full ranges, bundles and loyalty perks that give customers a reason to buy direct.
