Shopify experts for Turkey brands

Turkey has a large, young and very online population, and its shoppers are used to the speed and choice of Trendyol and Hepsiburada. Credit card instalments are part of everyday buying, cash on delivery still matters, and next-day cargo is common in big cities. At the same time, Turkish textile, home, jewellery and food brands are some of the most active exporters in the region, selling to Europe, the Gulf and beyond.

BOOST STAR Experts builds and grows Shopify stores for Turkish brands selling at home, abroad or both. Because Shopify Payments is not available in Turkey, we help you choose and connect suitable local and international gateways, then set up Turkish cargo integrations, the legal pages Turkish law requires and multi-currency storefronts for export. After launch we focus on SEO, paid campaigns and conversion work for each market.

Selling online in Turkey: what your store needs

Instalments and local gateways

Turkish shoppers expect to split card payments into instalments (taksit), and many compare instalment options before buying. Shopify Payments is not offered in Turkey, so stores use third-party gateways. We check which providers, such as iyzico or PayTR, can connect to your store, and add bank transfer and cash on delivery where they make sense.

KDV, ETBİS and e-invoicing

VAT (KDV) is 20% on most goods, with 10% and 1% rates for some categories. Online sellers register with ETBİS, the Ministry of Trade’s e-commerce information system, and issue e-Archive invoices. KVKK, Turkey’s data protection law, governs customer data, and distance sales rules give consumers a 14-day withdrawal right.

Cargo firms and fast delivery

Yurtiçi Kargo, Aras Kargo, PTT Kargo and DHL eCommerce Türkiye deliver most online orders, with marketplace networks such as HepsiJet and Trendyol Express also active. Same-day dispatch is expected, and tracking by SMS is standard. For exports, many brands use the micro-export route with simplified customs declarations for small parcels.

Marketplaces and mobile shoppers

Trendyol, Hepsiburada, n11 and Amazon Turkey dominate online retail, so brand stores need clear reasons to buy direct, such as exclusive products, faster service or loyalty rewards. Most traffic comes from phones and Instagram, so fast mobile pages, Turkish copy and visible reviews make a real difference to conversion.

Frequently asked questions

Is Shopify Payments available in Turkey?

No. Turkish merchants use third-party payment gateways instead. We review the providers that can connect to Shopify for your business, compare how they handle instalments and fees, and set up the one that fits. For export stores we may combine a local gateway with an international one for foreign cards.

Can customers pay in instalments on a Shopify store?

Yes, through a gateway that supports Turkish instalment payments. We show instalment options on product pages and at checkout, so shoppers can see monthly amounts before buying. This matters most for higher-priced items such as furniture, electronics and jewellery, where the monthly figure often decides the sale.

Can you connect our store to Trendyol or Hepsiburada?

Yes. We use marketplace integration tools to sync products, stock and orders between Shopify and the major Turkish marketplaces. You manage your catalogue in one place, and orders from each channel arrive in Shopify, ready for your cargo company to collect.

Can a Turkish brand sell to Europe and the Gulf from Shopify?

Yes. Shopify Markets supports separate currencies, languages and prices for each region. We set up English, German or Arabic storefronts, international shipping, duty information and payment methods suited to each market, while your Turkish store keeps running alongside with its own prices and promotions.

How easy is it to work with an India-based team from Turkey?

Easier than most markets, because we are only 2.5 hours apart. Your morning is our early afternoon and our evening is your mid-afternoon, so we can hold calls, fix issues and push changes during the same working day, without waiting overnight for answers.
