Shopify development and growth for Toronto brands

Toronto is Canada’s biggest consumer market and one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Its online brands reflect that, from Queen West fashion labels and clean beauty start-ups to food companies inspired by dozens of cuisines. Toronto shoppers are used to choice and fast delivery, and many compare Canadian stores with US ones. Brands here need Shopify stores that look polished, load quickly, show prices in Canadian dollars including duties, and speak to several communities at once.

We work with Toronto brands remotely from India. Eastern time mornings line up with our evenings, so planning calls, design reviews and weekly check-ins happen at the start of your day. Work then continues overnight, and you get a written update and staging link each morning. A named project lead stays with you from discovery to launch and beyond.

What Toronto brands need from their store

A multicultural customer base

Nearly half of Toronto’s residents were born outside Canada. Brands can reach those communities with targeted collections, campaigns around festivals such as Diwali and Lunar New Year, and additional storefront languages where demand justifies it.

GTA fulfilment and fast delivery

Many Canadian brands store stock in warehouses around Mississauga and Brampton, close to Pearson airport and major highways. We connect those 3PLs to Shopify and show next-day delivery promises for Ontario and Quebec addresses where your carrier supports them.

Competing with US stores

Toronto shoppers often check US sites first. Clear Canadian pricing, no surprise duties, local returns and Canada Post or Purolator tracking give you an advantage, and we make those points visible on product pages and in the cart.

Frequently asked questions

How is Ontario HST handled in our Shopify store?

Ontario uses a 13% harmonised sales tax that combines GST and the provincial portion. We set Shopify to charge the right tax based on each customer’s delivery province, so Toronto orders show HST while orders to Alberta show GST only.

Can you help us launch a Toronto pop-up alongside the online store?

Yes. We set up Shopify POS for pop-ups and markets so stock, customers and sales sync with your website. Customers can buy in person and ship items home, and you can capture emails at the till with proper CASL consent.

Do you have a Toronto office?

No. BOOST STAR is a remote team in India and does not have a Toronto office. We work with GTA brands over video calls in Eastern business hours, through a shared project board and with recorded walkthroughs of every major change.
