Shopify agency for brands across the UK
Shopify development, SEO and growth marketing for UK brands, with VAT, next-day delivery and consumer rights handled properly from the first build.
Shopify experts for UK brands
The UK has one of the most mature online shopping markets in Europe. British shoppers are comfortable buying almost anything online, expect next-day delivery as standard, and know their consumer rights well. They also compare quickly, so a store needs clear delivery costs, honest returns information and a checkout that supports the cards, wallets and pay-later options they already use. Shopify is a strong fit, provided it is set up for UK tax, carriers and law.
BOOST STAR Experts is a Shopify Partner agency working remotely from India with brands across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We design and build Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, migrate from WooCommerce, Magento and other platforms, and run SEO, CRO, Google Ads, Meta ads and email. The time difference is small, so most of your working day overlaps with ours.
Selling online in the UK: what your store needs
Payments UK shoppers expect
Debit cards are used far more in the UK than in the US, alongside Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay. Klarna and Clearpay are widely recognised for fashion and beauty baskets. We set up Shopify Payments and pay-later options, and make sure Strong Customer Authentication runs smoothly so 3D Secure checks do not lose sales.
VAT and consumer law
UK prices are shown including VAT, which is 20% on most goods once you pass the registration threshold. Online shoppers have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and the 2024 DMCC Act tightened rules on fake reviews and hidden fees. We set up tax, returns and policy pages to match.
Delivery and returns
Next-day delivery is expected for many categories, and shoppers like choice: Royal Mail, Evri, DPD and parcel lockers all have loyal users. We connect carrier rates or your 3PL, show delivery cut-off times on product pages and build returns portals that cut down on customer service emails.
Selling to the EU after Brexit
Shipping from Britain to the EU now involves customs declarations, and EU buyers are charged VAT on import. Sellers can use the EU’s IOSS scheme for parcels under €150 so customers pay VAT at checkout instead of on delivery. We configure Shopify Markets, duties and EU storefronts so cross-border orders arrive without surprise charges.

Frequently asked questions
How do you manage the time difference with UK clients?
It is one of the easiest markets to work with from India. We are 4.5 hours ahead during British Summer Time and 5.5 hours ahead in winter, so a UK morning is our afternoon. Calls, reviews and quick fixes happen within your working day, and our evening adds extra build hours.
Can you set up VAT correctly on our Shopify store?
Yes. We configure VAT-inclusive pricing, tax rates for zero-rated and reduced-rate products such as children’s clothing or certain foods, and VAT details on invoices. If you sell into the EU, we set up IOSS or duty collection through Shopify Markets. Your accountant should confirm registration and filing.
Do you know UK consumer and privacy law?
We build stores that follow common UK requirements: a cookie consent banner for UK GDPR and PECR, a 14-day cancellation policy, clear total pricing and genuine review collection under the DMCC Act. We are not a law firm, so final policy wording should be checked by your legal adviser.
Can you connect Royal Mail, Evri or DPD to Shopify?
Yes. We connect carriers through Shopify Shipping where available, apps such as Click & Drop or shipping platforms, or through your warehouse. We set up rates by weight and service level, delivery cut-off messages and tracking emails that match your brand.
Do you work with UK brands remotely, or do you have a UK office?
We work fully remotely from India and do not have a UK office. Every project has a named lead, a shared project board and regular video calls in UK business hours. Typical store builds take 4 to 10 weeks depending on scope and the number of integrations.
