Shopify Plus Agency for Ambitious eCommerce Brands
Build, scale, and optimise your eCommerce business with advanced Shopify Plus development, seamless migrations, custom integrations, and performance-driven growth solutions.
Your Shopify Plus development partner
Shopify Plus is not simply a bigger online store. It is the commerce layer for businesses whose operations have outgrown a standard setup: several markets and currencies, wholesale buyers alongside retail customers, an ERP that has to stay in sync, checkout rules that change by customer, and launches that cannot afford a slow page or a failed payment.
BOOST STAR Experts plans, builds and supports that infrastructure. We develop custom Shopify Plus storefronts, migrate brands from other platforms, build checkout extensions and Shopify Functions, connect Shopify to the systems that run the rest of the business, and keep the store fast and converting once it is live.
Because development, SEO and marketing sit in one team, the store we build is the same store we help grow, so technical decisions are made with acquisition, conversion and retention in mind.
- Shopify Plus store and custom theme development

- Enterprise requirements: B2B, markets, expansion stores
- Advanced integrations with ERP, CRM, WMS and finance

Why businesses choose Shopify Plus
Infrastructure that holds up at peak
Shopify hosts, scales and secures the platform, and Plus adds higher API limits and checkout capacity, so a flash sale or a big launch is a planning task rather than an infrastructure risk.
A checkout you can shape
On Plus, checkout UI extensions can add fields, content and logic to the information, shipping and payment steps, not only the thank-you page. That is how custom delivery rules, B2B details and upsells reach checkout.
B2B and wholesale on one platform
Shopify B2B now runs on every paid plan, but Plus removes the three-catalog limit and lets you assign catalogs and pricing to individual companies and locations, which is what most wholesale programmes need.
Selling across markets
Shopify Markets handles currencies, languages, domains and duties on all plans. Plus gives larger market structures and the option of expansion stores when a region needs its own catalogue, team or brand.
More than one storefront
Plus includes additional expansion stores under one organisation, so a second brand, a wholesale site or a regional store can launch without a separate contract.
Automation that removes busywork
Shopify Flow automates tagging, alerts and routine operations on most plans. Plus adds Launchpad, which schedules sales, product releases and theme changes so big launches run on time without someone at the keyboard.
Custom logic with Shopify Functions
Any plan can use App Store apps that contain functions, but only Plus stores can run custom apps with functions: bespoke discounts, shipping and payment rules written for your business.
Integrations without bottlenecks
Plus stores get ten times the standard GraphQL Admin API rate limit, so ERP, inventory and order syncs run faster and fail less often when volumes grow.
Control for larger teams
An organisation-level admin manages stores, users and permissions in one place, with the staff accounts a bigger team needs and no shared logins.

Shopify Plus vs Shopify Advanced vs Shopify Basic
Plus is the right choice for some growing brands and an unnecessary cost for others. This is how the plans differ where it matters.
The right plan depends on your operational complexity, your integrations and the return you expect, not only on revenue. Many brands run very successfully on Advanced.
Shopify changes plan features and pricing from time to time. We confirm current availability against Shopify’s own documentation for your store before recommending a plan.

Shopify Plus migration: move without compromising your business
A replatform touches revenue, rankings and the daily work of your team. We plan for all three before any data moves.
Every migration starts with a technical assessment. Downtime, data coverage and timelines depend on your current platform and data, so we commit to them in writing only after that review.
Existing platform audit
We review your current store, data quality, extensions, integrations and traffic so nothing important is discovered late.
Requirement analysis
Technical and business requirements are written down and agreed: what moves as is, what changes and what is retired.
Data and integration mapping
Every entity and system is mapped to its Shopify Plus equivalent, including metafields, B2B records and custom attributes.
Architecture planning
Markets, expansion stores, apps and middleware are chosen so the new store suits how the business will run, not just how it ran.
Storefront development
The theme and custom features are built on a private development store that your team reviews throughout.
Product, customer and order migration
Products, variants, customers and order history move in test passes first, then a final delta migration close to launch.
SEO and URL planning
Old URLs are crawled and mapped to new ones with 301 redirects, and titles, descriptions and structured data are carried over.
Integration development
ERP, CRM, fulfilment and finance connections are rebuilt or reconnected and tested with real data.
Quality assurance
Checkout, payments, taxes, emails, integrations and key journeys are tested across devices before sign-off.
Launch and monitoring
A planned cutover, then close monitoring of orders, rankings, errors and redirects in the weeks after launch.
Custom integrations and eCommerce automation
Shopify Plus works best as part of your wider technology stack. Integrations reduce manual work, keep data consistent across systems and let the business grow without adding headcount for data entry.
We confirm each integration after reviewing the system’s API, and tell you up front if it needs a connector or has limits.
ERP systems
Product, stock, price and order sync with the ERP that runs your finance and operations.
CRM platforms
Customer and order data shared with sales and service teams for a complete view of each account.
Inventory and warehouse
Real-time stock across locations and warehouses to prevent overselling.
Shipping and fulfilment
Carriers, 3PLs and label tools connected so orders leave faster with fewer errors.

Supported payment providers configured for your markets and buyer types.

Frequently asked questions
What is Shopify Plus?
Shopify Plus is Shopify’s plan for high-volume and more complex businesses. It runs on the same platform as other Shopify plans but adds checkout extensibility on every checkout step, custom apps with Shopify Functions, expansion stores, organisation-level administration, higher API limits and B2B without the catalog limits of the lower plans.
What is the difference between Shopify and Shopify Plus?
Core features such as themes, Shopify Markets, Shopify Flow and native B2B are available on standard plans. Plus adds the things larger operations tend to need: checkout UI extensions on the information, shipping and payment steps, custom Shopify Functions, catalogs and pricing per B2B company, expansion stores, Launchpad, more staff permissions and ten times the standard Admin API rate limit. It also has a higher subscription cost.
When should a business upgrade to Shopify Plus?
Usually when a specific requirement can’t be met on Advanced: custom checkout steps, company-specific wholesale pricing, several storefronts, integrations hitting API limits, or custom discount and shipping logic. Revenue alone is not a reason. We recommend reviewing what the extra features would be used for and what they would return before upgrading.
Is Shopify Plus suitable for small businesses?
Often it isn’t necessary. Most small and early-stage businesses get everything they need from Basic, Grow or Advanced, and the subscription difference is better spent on marketing or development. Plus makes sense for a smaller business only when it has complex B2B, multi-store or checkout requirements that the other plans can’t meet.
How much does Shopify Plus development cost?
It depends on scope. A focused upgrade with a few checkout extensions costs far less than a custom theme with ERP integration or a full migration. After a discovery call we send a fixed-scope quote with what is included, timelines and any third-party costs. The Shopify Plus subscription itself is billed by Shopify, separately from our work.
How long does a Shopify Plus project take?
As a guide, an upgrade of an existing Shopify store with checkout or B2B changes takes a few weeks, a custom Shopify Plus theme typically takes two to four months, and a migration with several integrations can take three to six months. We give a dated timeline once the scope is agreed.
Can you migrate Magento to Shopify Plus?
Yes. We migrate Magento and Adobe Commerce stores to Shopify Plus, including products and configurable variants, customers, order history, CMS content, URL redirects and SEO metadata. Custom Magento extensions are reviewed one by one and replaced with Shopify features, apps or custom development.
Can you migrate WooCommerce to Shopify Plus?
Yes. WooCommerce products, variations, customers, orders, blog posts and pages can move to Shopify Plus, with redirects for every URL. We map WordPress plugins to Shopify apps or custom features and flag anything that needs a different approach.
Can you migrate an existing Shopify store to Shopify Plus?
Upgrading an existing Shopify store to Plus is a plan change handled with Shopify, not a data migration, so products, customers and orders stay where they are. We plan what to build once you are on Plus, such as checkout extensions, Functions to replace retired Shopify Scripts, B2B or expansion stores, and implement it.
Can you build a custom Shopify Plus theme?
Yes. We build custom Online Store 2.0 themes with reusable sections and blocks, so your team can edit content without a developer. Themes are built for speed and accessibility and tested across devices and browsers before launch.
Can you customise the Shopify Plus checkout?
Yes, using Shopify’s checkout extensibility: checkout UI extensions, branding settings, Shopify Functions for discounts, delivery and payment rules, and pixels for tracking. checkout.liquid and Shopify Scripts have been retired, so we build with the supported tools, which also keeps checkout upgrade-safe.
Can you develop custom Shopify apps?
Yes. We build custom apps for a single store or organisation, such as integrations, admin tools, Functions and extensions, and can also build public apps intended for the Shopify App Store.
Can Shopify Plus integrate with ERP and CRM systems?
Yes. Shopify Plus connects to ERP and CRM systems through APIs, existing connectors or custom middleware. We review the system’s API and your data flows first, then recommend a connector or a custom integration, and test it with real data before launch.
Can you build a B2B Shopify Plus store?
Yes. We set up Shopify’s native B2B features, such as companies and locations, catalogs, volume pricing, quantity rules and payment terms, and add custom development or apps for requirements the native features don’t cover, such as complex approval workflows or custom quoting.
Can you support international Shopify Plus stores?
Yes. We configure Shopify Markets for currencies, languages, domains, pricing and duties, decide with you when an expansion store is the better option, and handle international SEO so each region can be found in its own search results.
Do you provide ongoing Shopify Plus maintenance?
Yes. Ongoing support covers bug fixes, theme and app updates, new features, integration maintenance, and regular performance, security and compatibility checks, under a monthly plan or as needed.
Can you improve the speed of an existing Shopify Plus store?
Yes. We audit the theme, apps and third-party scripts, measure Core Web Vitals on real pages, and then fix what is slowing the store down, from image delivery and JavaScript to apps that load on every page.
Do you provide Shopify Plus SEO and marketing services?
Yes. Alongside development we offer Shopify SEO, AI SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, email, social media and CRO, so the store can be grown by the same team that built it.
Can you work with an existing Shopify Plus store?
Yes. Many projects start with a store that is already on Plus: we begin with a technical review of the theme, apps and integrations, then take on improvements, new features or ongoing support without a rebuild unless one is genuinely needed.
How do we get started with BOOST STAR Experts?
Send the form on this page or contact our team. We arrange a discovery call to understand your business and requirements, review your current store or platform, and then send a written recommendation with scope, timeline and a fixed quote.
